A Slob's Pittance

A three or more months to wait From tiny-golden seed to white rice we eat

"Magtanim ay di biro Maghapong nakayuko" A Filipino song giving us an account of our farmers' good Placed in a silver platter is our main food

A story of foot covered with heavy boots Plowing fields all day long Making arms toned and strong In exchange for a cent of loots

But why do our farmers been crying wolf? When without them our stomach's shouts for fave crop. Do we do nothing and just let them stop? Or stand for them when their rights engulfed.

Physically and mentally exhaust Outsiders' supplies, making ours oust. As heavy as what they carry Their health and family they worry.

A chapeau they use Does not hide unfairness and abuse.
